Kenneth John Silver, born in Hartford, CT, resided in Mobile 50 years, passed away at a local hospital after a long fought battle with cancer. He is preceded in death by his mother, father, step-father, and his youngest son, Kendall. He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou; son, Kenneth John Silver, II; daughter, Stephanie Selene Carroll; step-son, Marvin (Michelle) Middleton; step-daughter, Stacey Straub; brother, Robert (Sandy) Silver; sister, Lynn (Bruce) Capuano; three grandchildren; and many friends. He retired after 36 years with the City of Mobile fire Department in 2001. In 2003 he started working security at the Country Club of Mobile; he titled himself the parking lot cop.” He loved this job because of his constant interaction with people. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude.
