My Uncle shared both his sense of humor and his advice, I respected and admired both . He gave me words of wisdom when my mother died and I appreciated his honesty and support during that time.
He kept that military sternness, but had the softness of a loving grandfather when his granddaughters were born.
My Uncle David did have a military background to be proud of, but he was also a husband, father, grandfather , great grandfather, uncle and great uncle who will be missed by all.
