Born Lena Frances Breeding, Fran was known for her kindness, grace, and unwavering dedication to her family, faith, and work. Fran was the cherished pianist at Fulton Road Baptist Church for many years, sharing her love of music and deep faith with her church family.
She recently retired from a fulfilling career as a legal assistant at Galloway, Wettermark & Rutens, LLP, where she was respected for her professionalism, compassion, and bright spirit.
Fran was preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Elma Breeding; her first husband, Melvin Mauldin; and her second husband, Angus Ferguson.
Her beloved Yorkie fur babies, Bella and Winston, along with her church family and many dear friends, will greatly miss our Fran and the joy she brought to everyone.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Pine Crest Cemetery on Dauphin Island Parkway. A celebration of life will follow on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Fulton Road Baptist Church, with food and fellowship to follow at noon.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Fran’s memory to the organization of your choice: Fulton Road Baptist Church, Angie’s Doghouse, or the Baldwin County Humane Society.
