Lewis A Meyer

Lewis Andrew Meyer, born in Quincy, IL, on April 30, 1929 and died at home in Mobile on August 13, 2013. He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Anderson Meyer; his daughter, Sharon Meyer McLean; his parents Andrew C Meyer and Hazel Meyer and his sister Delores Meyer Oden.

He is survived one son, Keith Andrew (Betty) Meyer of Oakland, CA; grandsons, Michael G. McLean, Jr. of San Francisco, CA and Adam McLean of Daphne, AL; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Lewis was a member of Hollingers Island Baptist Church for 50+ years where he loved being a part of the music program. He was Past Master and Secretary of Guy T. Smith Masonic Lodge #883, F&AM and was presently serving as Senior Warden. Mr. Meyer was also Grand Marshall of Grande Lodge of Alabama in 1987, 33rd degree Scottish Rite member; member of Royal Order of Scotland and a member of Abba Temple Shrine Bodies of Alabama.

Visitation will be at Mobile Memorial Gardens on Friday, August 16, 2013 from 5 until 7 PM. Funeral services will be held in the Chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, on Saturday, August 17, 2013 at 10 AM, Burial will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest that memorials be made to Hollingers Island Baptist Church, 2450 Island Road, Mobile, AL 36605 for their Building Fund.
