Lillie Hilburn Lowell

Lillie Hilburn Lowell – beloved wife, mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, avid bowler, and former Worthy Matron of the George U. Potter Chapter of Order of the Eastern Star, went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 19, 2013, at her home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Elizabeth Hilburn. Mrs. Lowell is survived by her beloved husband of 67 years, Robert E. Lowell; children: Mary Ann Montgomery (Ted), Robert “Bob” Lowell (Carolyn), Janice Rogers (Dennis), Judy Hewes (Jerry), and JoAnn James; 12 grandchildren: Ashlee Gordon, Melissa Summey, Robby Montgomery, Brad Lowell, Derrick, Ryan, and Jessica Rogers, Jarrod and Jaclyn Hewes, Stephanie Davis, and Blake and Julia James; 9 great-grandchildren: Courtney and Cameron Gordon, Braxton and Emily Summey, Andrew and Mallory Montgomery, Taylor and Ally Grace Lowell, and Macey Brown; great, great-grandson, Mason Cosgrove; beloved nieces and nephews; and beloved nurses and Sisters in Christ, Cathy Jones and Joyce Ball. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Thursday, August 22, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the service hour. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the building fund at First Baptist Church of Tillman’s Corner.
