Linda Carmen Looney

Linda was born on June 2, 1943, in Mobile Alabama, and transitioned out of this life on April 24, 2026. Through her journey of 82 years, she touched many lives with her wisdom, humor and an unwavering spirit of perseverance.

Linda loved to frequent antique stores and flea markets, collecting meaningful pieces over the years that she proudly displayed in her home. She was a proud tribal member of the MOWA Band of Choctaw Indians in Mt. Vernon Alabama.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Marlin Looney, her son Johnny (Tuffy) Franks, and her daughter Rhonda Franks.

She is survived by her son James (Jimmy) Franks of Mobile Alabama, her daughter Carmen (Goose) Thomas of Mobile Alabama, and 13 grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 4, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street. Interment will follow at Serenity Memorial Gardens at 3:30 p.m.
