Lonnie Lavon Blackledge – an 80 year-old native of Laurel, MS and a resident of Irvington passed away on Monday, August 19, 2013. He worked at Robinson Brothers Lincoln-Mercury for 35 years and was a deacon at the First Baptist Church of Irvington. Mr. Blackledge was preceded in death by his parents, Delia Graham Blackledge and Austin Lonnie Blackledge; brother, Cecil Blackledge; daughter, Deborah Blackledge; and granddaughter, Beverly Blackledge. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Ouida Rayner Blackledge; son, Ricky Lavon Blackledge (Julie); brother, George Latrell Blackledge (Judy); granddaughter,Ouida Jean Blackledge; great-grandchildren, Joseph, Dakota, McKenzie, and Cheyenne; and a number of nephews. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street on Thursday, August 22, 2013, at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12 noon until the service hour.
