Loucretia Iler Hollingsworth - a native of Daisy, GA and a resident of Mobile for the past 51 years died Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at her home. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and attended St. Mark UMC where she was a member of the Fishers Sunday School class, the United Methodist Women, and held several offices associated with the Administrative Board. She was a lifetime member of the Girl Scouts USA and held a variety of volunteer positions including President of the Deep South Girl Scout Council. She delivered flowers to patients at Mobile Infirmary Medical Center as a volunteer with the hospital's auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Charlie Joe Hollingsworth, Sr.
She is survived by her daughter, Deborra Hollingsworth Outlaw, Mobile; two sons, Charlie Joe (Lisa) Hollingsworth, Jr., Fairhope and William Bryan Hollingsworth, Birmingham; nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at St. Mark Methodist Church, Azalea Road, Mobile, AL from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 2, 2023. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. with interment in Pine Crest Cemetery (DIP) immediately following services.
