Louis was born November 14th, 1942 in Cisco, TX. He married Margaret Taylor Luttrell on September 12th, 1964 in Mobile, AL. They spent 57 years happily married. Louis served in the U.S. Navy for 4 years. He has been apart of the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers Local 112 for 46 years. Louis was a member of Valhaven Missionary Baptist Church. He was a Deacon, led worship and taught Sunday School for over 20 years.
Louis enjoyed spending time in his shop or out on his tractor, but what he loved most was being with his family. He lived to spend time with his grandchildren and was happiest when doing so.
Louis is survived by his wife Margaret, his children Melton (Alicia) and Melinda (Mark), his grandchildren Trista (Spencer), Brooke, Gabby (Mitch), Austin, Jake, Meghan, Colleen, and Aiden, his great grandchildren Reed and Maddox, his brother Bruce, his brother-in-laws Jerry (Ad) and Joe (Patsy) as well as many other family and friends.
Louis is preceded in death by his brother Harry, his sister Susie and his parents LA and Mary Alice.
A visitation for Louis will be held Saturday, July 30, 2022 from 9:00 AM until time of service at 10:00 AM at Camellia Missionary Baptist Church, 10661 Moffett Road, Semmes, Alabama 36575.
Interment will immediately follow on the grounds of Camellia Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, 10661 Moffett Road, Semmes, Alabama 36575.
