Lucille Rush Hunter Mayfield

Mrs. Lucille Rush Hunter Mayfield - born July 1, 1923 in Mobile, AL, died Friday, November 23, 2012 after a brief illness. Mrs. Mayfield was a graduate of Murphy High School and attended the University of Alabama. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Gaines Mayfield; her parents, Clyde C. Hunter, Sr. and Lucille Rush Hunter; her sister, Mary Knight Rhodes; and her brother, Clyde C. Hunter, Jr. Survivors include her children, Lucille Rush Badger and Charles C. Badger and his wife, Beverly;grandchildren, Caroline S. Badger, Charles S. "Stan" Badger, and Nicholas S. Badger; and other relatives. Mrs. Mayfield was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church for over 50 years, a member of the Country Club of Mobile and a past member of the Junior League of Mobile. The family will receive friends from 10:30 A.M. until 11:30 A.M. on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church Parish Hall followed by a memorial service at 11:30 A.M. at St. Paul's Episcopal Church with Reverend John Riggin officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Thomas B. Rhodes, III, Clyde C. Hunter, III, Michael R. Hunter, Donald R. Taylor, and George E. Seymour. Active pallbearers will be Michael T. Taylor, Nick Badger and Stan Badger. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Murphy High School, the American Lung Association , or the Friends of Magnolia Cemetery.
