Luis Vargas – age 83, born April 10, 1929 in New Orleans, LA, resident of Mobile, AL since 2004, died April 21, 2012 in a Mobile hospital. Mr. Vargas was a graduate of the former F.T. Nicholls High School and Tulane University. He was preceded in death by his parents, Luis Vargas, Sr. and Amelia Stockholder Meyer. He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Dorothy Boyer Vargas; daughters, Elisa Eslava and Maria Vargas; granddaughter, Jessica Forsythe; great-granddaughter, Eva Baroné; sister, Carmenia Davidson; other relatives and friends. A private service will be held by the family. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to The Village Church Lutheran, P.O. Box 1219, Lacombe, LA 70445-121.
