

MABEL INEZ DINGLER CRIMINALE passed away on January 16, 2025 at the age of 103. She was born on January 30, 1921, the oldest child of Edward Dingler and Era Estelle “Belle” Whitaker Dingler. She graduated from Perry County High School in Marion, Alabama. She began working at Brookley Field at the beginning of World War II and remained there until 1962. She was active in historic preservation and Mardi Gras and enjoyed sailing on Mobile Bay. She particularly enjoyed traveling with her husband to sailing regattas around the United States, Cuba, and South America. Her travels also took her to Russia, China, and Europe and she always returned with plans for her next trip. She was devoted to her family and her faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Clarence Criminale, and her sisters, Jessie Mae Dingler Boggs, Selma Louise Dingler Smith, and Lavonda Irene “Bonnie” Waller. She is survived by her son, George Clarence Criminale, Jr. and his wife, Kenia Romero Criminale, and her grandsons, George Clarence Criminale, III and Andrew Charles Criminale. She leaves nieces, nephews, dear cousins and friends to cherish her memory.
Visitation will be held at Pine Crest Funeral Home on Sunday, January 26, 2025 from 5:00 to 7:00 and on Monday, January 27, 2025 from 9:30 to 10:30. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. at Magnolia Cemetery.
