Margaret Mardest Betbeze Andrews, “Betty”, 94, passed away on Sunday, June 2. 2019 in Mobile, Alabama. Betty was a previous manager of the cafeteria and bus driver for MARC (now, Mobile Arc). She was an expert at crocheting, and enjoyed baking. Above all else, Betty loved taking care of her family.
Betty was preceded in death by her loving husband, James A. Andrews; brother, Robert E. Betbeze, Sr.; and one sister, Joyce “Nellie” Anderson.
She is survived by her sons, Richard A. (Connie A.) Andrews, Paul D. Andrews, and Stephen S. (Lynn) Andrews; grandsons, Richard “Alan” A. (Melissa M. Smith) Andrews Jr., Ryan Andrews, and Clay Andrews; granddaughters, Jesica L. Andrews and Holly Andrews; great-grandson, Benjamin T. Andrews; great-granddaughter, Raegan M. Andrews; brother, Sylvain “Buddy” Betbeze , Jr.; sister, Evelyn JoAnn Thomas; as well as many other nieces, nephews, and other cherished family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 5, 2019, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Pine Crest Funeral Home on Dauphin Island Parkway in Mobile, with a funeral service immediately following. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be made to Fulton Road Baptist Church.
The family would like to extend special appreciation to SAADs Hospice Agency, Crowne Assisted Living, and Mobile Infirmary 2 East – nurses and staff.
