Margaret Stanley Britain

Margaret Herring Britain, age 89, a resident of Mobile, passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2011. She worked for many years until retirement for Dr. Sidney Phillips. She was a charter member of Theodore United Methodist Church. This is where she met her beloved husband Edward F. Britain who preceded her in death in 2006. She is survived by her three children, James F. Herring (Betty); Lynn H. Clark (Robert) and Beverly H. Templeton, grandchildren Deborah N. Templeton; Richard E. Templeton, Jr.; Robert Eric Templeton (Geri); Robert Nathan Clark; and Peyton W. Clark, great-grandchildren Lauren Templeton, Jesi Templeton and Christina Cox, many nieces and nephews. Her grandson Bruce C. Templeton preceded in death in 2010. She is survived by her very special sister Mary Louise Becton, with whom she spent many wonderful times over the years laughing and reminiscing about their life growing up in a family with nine children. Interment will be on Friday, September 30, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Serenity Memorial Gardens, followed by a memorial service in the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home at 12 noon. The children extend a special thank you to all the angels at Allen Memorial Home who took loving care of their Mother.
