Margaret was born in Mobile, AL in 1937. She was a graduate of the Convent of Mercy Class of 1955. Margaret married (her high school sweetheart), David Roh, in 1956. They were soon stationed in Moses Lake, WA, where their first child was born. The family moved back to Mobile briefly upon where their second child was born and then made New Orleans, LA their home for the next 15 years. Margaret and Dave had two more children, before returning to Mobile in 1975 to complete the raising of their family. Margaret retired from Byrd & Associates where she worked for more than 20 years. Margaret was a devout Catholic and member of Our Savior Catholic Church. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who spent her life caring for her family.
Mrs. Roh was preceded in death by her parents, Edley and Virginia Oden. She is survived by her sister, Betty (George) Clausen, Spring, Texas, and brother Jack (Linda) Oden, Fairhope, Alabama. She is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 61 years, David Herbert Roh; four children: David A. (Diane) Roh of Burns, Tennessee, Hope (Chuck) Dicks of Mobile, Alabama, Laura (John) Harchelroad of Birmingham, Alabama, and Chris (Crystal) Roh of Chunchula, Alabama; five grandchildren: Joseph (Colleen) Dicks, Laura Ann Dicks (James) Duff, Robert "Roh", Addie & Emma Harchelroad; three great-granddaughters; five step-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; and numerous, loving nieces and nephews.
The family would like to offer special thanks to Candi Jackson, Honey Bee’s Senior Care LLC, and Alabama Hospice for the loving care given to Margaret.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 9, 2018 at Our Savior Catholic Church located at 1801 Cody Road in Mobile, with a Mass of Christian Burial immediately following. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery on Dauphin Island Parkway after the Mass. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Alzheimer Association of Central Alabama: P.O. Box 2273, Birmingham, AL 35201.
