Margie Victoria Greenwood

Margie Victoria Majors Greenwood, age 83, passed away on June 13, 2011, from complications of lung and colon cancer. She was born on December 18, 1927 to John Madison Majors and Esther Sasser Majors in McKenzie, AL. Prior to her retirement in 1990, she was an employee of Alabama Power. In the final months of her life, she was cared for at home with grace and love by Covenant Hospice and Sebrina’s Sitter Service. She is survived by her daughter, Victoria Palefsky (Howard) of Atlanta; her granddaughter, Jessica Victoria (Chris James) of New York City; her niece, Melissa Melton; grand niece Heather Patterson (Forest) and grand nephew, Thomas Thorneycroft of Mobile. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at 12 noon in Mobile Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest that memorials be made to The Alliance Theatre Chair Fund, % Lindsey Hardegree, 1280 Peachtree ST.
