Marian Rose Haag Weiss

Marian Rose Haag Weiss, Age 97, Born February 27, 1919 in Algiers, LA to Phillip and Christine Haag. Died March 11, 2016 Mobile, AL. She was preceded in death by her parents, Phillip and Christine Haag; husband, Joseph Alwyn Weiss; sisters, Christine Richardson, Vivian Garcia, Lydia Haag; brother, Phillip Haag; and grandson, Brian Weiss. She was married on September 21, 1940, to Joseph Alwyn Weiss, for 67 years, before his passing. She is survived by three sons, Donald Weiss, Ronald Weiss (Sherea), Kenneth Weiss (Cathy); six grandchildren, Denise Weiss, Deborah Weiss, Deidre Weiss, Eric Weiss (Kaylee), Melanie Piltz (Chris), and Kenneth Weiss, Jr.; two great-grandsons, Braxton Weiss and Garrett Graham; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was a faithful member of Grace Lutheran Church for 75 years and served on various committees; was a Sunday School Teacher, and an Altar Guild. She was the oldest living member at the time of her death. The visitation will be held Tuesday, March 15, 2016, at Radney Funeral Home, Mobile, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, March 16, 2016, from Grace Lutheran Church, 1356 Government Street, Mobile, Alabama. Mrs. Weiss will lie in state from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service time. Interment will follow at Mobile Memorial Gardens.

The family has requested donations and memorials to Grace Lutheran Church Building Fund in lieu of flowers.
