Marie Andrade Andrade Crane

Marie Andrade Crane, age 96 1/2 a native and lifelong resident of Mobile, died on Saturday, June 8, 2013. She was a retired R.N. with Allen Memorial Home. Mrs. Crane was a member of the Sodality of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Ladies of Charity, Allen Memorial Auxillary, Little Sisters of the Poor Auxillary, St. Mary’s Home Auxillary, Burse Club, A.C.C.W., and a Mystic Society. She served in the U.S.Army Nurse Corps as a 1stLT during WWII for two years. Mrs. Crane was a graduate of Bishop Toolen High School and the Providence School of Nursing. She was also a member of the Retired Nurses Association. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph A. Crane. Mrs. Crane is survived by one daughter, Fran “Francell” (Allen) Farrell; three sons, James “Jim” (Sandra) Crane, Danny (Alta) Crane and Frank (Patricia) Crane; eight grandchildren, Shannon (Brandon) Sanders, Drew (Candy) Crane, Melanie Crane, Daniel Crane, Julia Farrell, Wendy (Matthew) Anderson, Russell (Megan) Crane and Ginger Crane; two great grandchildren, Ayden Crane and Anna Louise Sanders, nieces, nephews and other relatives. Mass of the Christian Burial will be Celebrated from St. Mary’s Catholic Church on Friday, June 14, 2013 at

11AM. Visitation will be at the funeral home

on Thursday evening from 5 until 7:30 PM with the Rosary to follow. Burial will be in the Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to St. Mary’s Church.
