

Marie Allyce Waller Harrison, 71, passed away on February 28 surrounded by her loved ones. Born in Mobile, AL on September 13, 1943, she attended the Visitation, Toolen High School and The University of Alabama where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma. She formed friends at all of these places that remained dear to her for the rest of her life. Her greatest joys in life were spending time with her family in Pointe Clear, travelling with her husband and playing bridge with her countless friends. Marie will be remembered for her generous hospitality and her absolute love for her children, grandchildren and numerous friends and relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Lee Waller, Jr. and Allyce Kuppersmith Waller. She was also preceded in death by her oldest child, Paula Harrison Armstrong (Paul). She was married to her loving husband, James Max Harrison, Jr., for over 51 years. She is survived by three children, James Mark Harrison (Elizabeth), Shannon Harrison Huber (Stephen) and Charles Nash Harrison (Claire). Also, ten grandchildren, Harrison, Allyce and Chase Armstrong, Simms, Caroline, Laura and Reid Harrison and Harris, Russell and Meredith Huber. She is also survived by two sisters, Shannon Waller Davis and Jacque Waller Mayhall and one brother Charles Lee Waller, III, along with a host of cousins, nieces and nephews. Visitation is Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. in the Marion Center with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at St Ignatius Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Little Sisters of the Poor and/or The Paula Harrison Armstrong endowed Community Service Scholarship at St. Paul’s Episcopal School.
