Her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ called her home to heaven on Sunday, January 13, 2019 at 2:00 pm. She was surrounded by her loving family.
Marilyn was a member of Westside Methodist Church in Mobile, Al. She was a Loving Mother and “ Maw Maw”, a Sweet Sister and a kind soul to all her friends. Marilyn was a working class career woman. She was a successful store manager with J.C. Penny’s for 25 years. She retired early and moved to Mobile to care for her aging parents. She followed the Lords lead into a second career path as Supervisor of Central Supply for Mobile’s USA Medical Center. She retired for a second time after 25 years of employment. She was 80 years of age. She brought such joy and cheer to people every day with her soft shoe dancing and simple sweet songs. She was known to all as “Ms. Fox” The Dancing Lady.
Already in Heaven awaiting Moms arrival is Tobi Jean Smith “daughter”.
Marilyn was survived by her son, Gary Fox (Alice) of Robertsdale, Alabama. her daughter, Lori Blalack of Mobile, Alabama, her brother, Dr. Thomas O. Adams (Alycia) of Metairie, Louisiana, her son-in-law, Ted Smith of Mandeville, La.
She was blessed with 7 grandchildren, 1 step-grandchild, 6 great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Westside UMC on Sunday, January 20, 2019, beginning at 2:00 pm.
