Marlin Edward Redding

Mr. Marlin Edward Redding – a native of Sims Chapel, AL and a resident of Semmes, AL died Monday, July 30, 2012 at his residence. Mr. Redding retired from Alabama Power Company after 35 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents, James L. and Fannie Mae Flynt Redding; one brother, James L. Redding, Jr.; two sisters, Mildred Pippen and Margie McLeod; and one granddaughter, Sarah B. Redding. He is survived by his wife, Alice Redding; four children, Sandra Reeves, Warren Wade (Wanda) Redding, Jonathan (Lynn) Redding, and Robert N. (Cheryl) Redding; one brother William Raymond (Fairy) Redding; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services will be held at 10 A.M. on Thursday, August 2, 2012 from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M. on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
