Marvin Lamar Johnson

Marvin Lamar Johnson - a 77 year-old native of Mississippi and longtime resident of Mobile passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2026. He worked for a number of years as an emergency medical technician and was the former drummer for a local band named the Versatiles.

Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin Myles Johnson and Janie Elizabeth Counts Johnson, and sister, Carol Johnson. He is survived by his children, Katie, Kyle, and Shannon; sisters, Deborah Napp (Danny) and Beverly Piper; good friend, Darryl Huffman; other relatives and friends.

Graveside services and interment will be held in Pine Crest Cemetery on Dauphin Island Parkway on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at 11 a.m. The family will receive friends at Pine Crest Funeral Home from 10 a.m. until the service hour. Condolences may be offered at www.pinecrestfuneralhome.com.
