Hazel Barron – loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, an 85 year-old resident of Bayou La Batre, AL passed away Sunday, February 27, 2011. Mrs. Barron was a longtime dedicated member of St. Margaret Catholic Church, worked in the shipyards during World War II, and was an active member of the Bayou La Batre Senior Citizen Group. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Clarence Barron. Mrs. Barron is survived by her children, Frances Ann Peffers and Richard Barron (Carolyn); five grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Margaret Catholic Church on Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at 11 a.m. The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 9:30 a.m. Interment will be in St. Michael Catholic Cemetery.
