Mary Beth Chapman – went to be with her Heavenly Father on May 1, 2012. She was born in Mobil, the daughter of the late Geoffrey Chapman and Martha Chapman Lamar. She graduated with honors from the University of South Alabama where she was a President’s Scholar and was awarded a certificate of excellence in political science. She attended graduate school at Georgetown University and was employed by Senators John Sparkman and Jack Edwards. She served on the Foreign Relations Committee. She was preceded in death by brothers, Gary and Jeff Chapman. Survivors include her mother, Martha Lamar of Mobile, and nephew, Geoffrey Chapman of Metairie, Louisiana.
