Mary Catherine Ellsworth

Mary Catherine Ellsworth, a native and lifelong resident of Mobile, Alabama died peacefully at a local nursing home on Saturday, January 12, 2013, where she had been living for the past 6 years. Mary was born on March 14, 1926 to William H. Ellsworth II and Helen L. (Gottschalck) Ellsworth. Mary was preceded in death by her mother and father, William and Helen, two sisters, Etta Mae Ellsworth Smith and Martha Ann Ellsworth Byerley and one brother, William Henry Ellsworth III. Mary is survived by one brother Joseph H. Ellsworth Sr. and one sister (Sue) Helen M. (Ellsworth Bru both of Mobile. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives. Mary held a special place in the heats of her relatives and friends. Whenever “anyone”, friend, relative or stranger was in her presence she had a way of always bringing a smile to their face. The family extends special thanks and love to the staff at Eight Mile Nursing Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at 11 AM from St. Bridget Catholic Church. The family will recieve friends at the church 10:30 until service time. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery.
