Mary Frances Clements Powell

Mary Frances Clements Powell departed this life to be with her Lord and Savior on May 30, 2016. Mary was born February 2, 1926 to Harold Woodruff and Etta Lee Clements in Brewton, Alabama. She graduated from the Convent of Mercy in Mobile, Alabama in 1944. She worked as a secretary and Bookkeeper at ALCOA Aluminum for many years. She married her husband Howard Joseph Powell in 1952 and together they celebrated 42 years of marriage until his death in 1993.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Harold Woodruff Clements and Etta Lee Fortner Clements, and her husband, Howard Joseph Powell. She is survived by her sons, Jody Powell (Missy), Dr. Tom Powell (Rhonda); her brother, Bob Clements (Dottie); and grandchildren, Joseph, Marc, Matthew, and Caroline Powell. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

The will be a graveside service held Tuesday, May 31 at 2:00 p.m. in the Spring Hill Graveyard on the corner of Dilston Lane and Mordecai Lane in Spring Hill.
