Mary Elizabeth Sowell Prine – went home to be with Jesus on April 25, 2016. She was born on August 24, 1933 in Pershire, MS to Flora Louise Runnells Sowell and Lawrence Baxter Sowell. She grew up in Oak Grove, LA. Mary was a resident of Mobile since 1952. She worked 43 years for GM&O/ICG Railroad. She was an active member of Seven Hills Baptist Church where she enjoyed teaching youth.
She is survived by her son, H.M. Prine Jr. (Paige Sawyer Prine); grandson, Justin Prine (Heidi); granddaughters, Shanna Prine Jones (Rees) and Charlotte Campbell; great-grandsons, Brodie and Baker Jones; step-sister, Millie Knapp; and step-brother, Everett Dyche.
The family will receive friends at Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street Thursday, April 28, 2016 from 4-8 p.m. Graveside services and interment will follow on Saturday in Oak Grove, LA. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Seven Hills Baptist Church.
