Mrs. Mary Abell Young. A native of Paragould, Arkansas and a longtime resident of Mobile, Alabama died on Saturday, July 14, 2012. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and was retired from the Mobile County Public School System. She was preceded in death by her parents, Emanuel & Ella Abell; sister, Ella Martin; brothers, Bert Abell, John Abell, Pike Abell, Jay Abell and Nace Abell. She is survived by her children, Richard Abell (Cindy) Young, Lane (Tommy) Fulton, Jennifer Young, Ray (Angel) Young, Leigh (Steve) McCarthy; two brothers, Wayne Abell, Frank Abell; fifteen grandchildren, two great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at 11:00 AM from Holy Family Catholic Church. Visitation will be held on Wednesday 9:00 AM until service time at the church. Interment will be in Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to McGill – Toolen Catholic High School Building Fund.
