Please accept my deepest sympathy on the passing of Dr. Shils.   He is gone but his memory will live on in those whose lives he has touched.  I feel very 
priviledged to have known Dr. Shils and having worked very closely with him on "Modern Nutrition in Health and Disease" while at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. I could not have asked for a more kinder or thoughtful boss. He will be missed but not forgotten
