Maydella Emogene Kidd

January 28, 1929 – December 15, 2022

It is with great sadness the family of Maydella Emogene Kidd announce her passing on Thursday, December 15, 2022. She will be reunited with her parents, Tommie H. Harlow and Ova Mae Green Harlow, her sisters; Maudie Ree Houchens, Eldora Harlow, Elavesta Harlow Martin and her brothers; Roy Wilson Harlow, George Vincent Harlow, William Garland Harlow and Wendell Hendricks Harlow. She is preceded in death by her husband Reid Vaughn Kidd.

Emogene was born in Glasgow, Kentucky on January 28, 1929 and graduated from Glasgow High school. She ultimately attended Louisville Barber College and was a barber for over 55 years. Emogene’s greatest joy was being with her family of one son, one granddaughter and two great grandsons. Emogene had an undying faith in Jesus Christ and was active in performing religious organ music in her early life.

She will be lovingly remembered by her son and his wife, Donald D. Kidd and Rebecca E. Kidd. She was “Pansy” to her granddaughter, Ashley Kidd Gordon and her two great grandsons, Stuart Oak and Harbour Davis Gordon.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made in her honor at the church of your choice. At her request she will be interred in the family plot at Glasgow Municipal cemetery, Glasgow Kentucky.
