Melvin "Sonny" Edward Lolley Sr.

Mr. Melvin Edward “Sonny” Lolley, Sr., age 90, passed away at his home on Monday, January 16, 2023. He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Rilla Wingo Lolley, wife, Mary Dama Lolley, sister, Nelda Jo Rials, daughter-in-law, Julie Lolley and granddaughter, Emily Corley.

Sonny retired after 30 years of service with Alcoa Aluminum as a pipefitter. He was of Pentecostal faith and had been a member of Moffett Road Assembly of God for many years. He loved baseball and was an avid fisherman.

Mr. Lolley is survived by his children; Mel Lolley, Dodie McLain (Jimmy), Debbie Peavy, Kim Smith and Susan Corley. His sisters, Faye McDonald, Charlotte Mullinex, Phyllis Lewis, eleven grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren also survive him.

Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home-Mobile on Friday, January 20, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 12 Noon in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Valhalla Cemetery, Eight Mile, AL.
