Michael Joseph Ellis, passed away peacefully on September 18, 2026, at the age of 71 surrounded by his family. He was born in Mobile, Alabama on March 10, 1955. He graduated from Davidson High School in 1973. Mike attended several Hydraulic and Mechanical Schools following his graduations, he along with his cousin, Charles Moorehead founded Gulf Coast Air and Hydraulics in 1985. Mike was a much sought after mechanic. By the marine industry until his retirement in 2021.
Mike loved Nasar Racing, Alabama Football, riding his Harley motorcycle and eating at Waffle House.
He was a member of Woodridge Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Betty Ellis.
Surviving is his son, Todd (Candance) Ellis; two grandsons, Tucker and Cooper and his brother, David (Karen) Ellis.
There will not be a service per his wishes.
The family requests any memorials be addressed to their favorite charity, St. Judes was one of his.
