

Michael Thomas Lanaux III, 78, native of Mobile, Alabama, passed away on Monday, February 13, 2017. He was born on September 14, 1938 in Mobile, Alabama. Tom’s passion was in sales and management and was employed by the GM&O Railroad in various management positions. He moved to Atlanta, Georgia in 1968 and continued his professional career in transportation distribution. His many hobbies included hunting, fishing, sailing, collector of rare tropical fish, and an avid bonsai enthusiast. Tom loved life, had a wonderful smile, and was loved by all that knew him. He was preceded in death by his father Michael Thomas Lanaux, Jr. and his mother Alyne Courson Lanaux. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Mary Lou Lanaux; Ray Dean; cousin, Lucedale, Mississippi, Mary Ann Reeves; cousin, Birmingham, Alabama, Taylor H. Henry Jr; cousin, Nashville, Tennessee, and Joseph Rich Henry; cousin, Birmingham, Alabama.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm at Radney’s Funeral Home, 3155 Dauphin Street Mobile, Alabama 36606 followed by a graveside service at 1:00 pm. at Magnolia Cemetery, 1202 Virginia Street Mobile, Alabama 36660.
