Michele Lea Haskew was born in Jackson, Alabama on August 20, 1968, to Estelle and Percy Haskew. She was the youngest of six children. She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Estelle and Percy Haskew, her sister, Carolyn Howard, and her nephew, Chris Taylor. She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Bob Nouwen, Jr.; daughters, Tayler and Katelynn Nouwen; four grandsons, Karson Bass, Cole Nouwen, Cade Nouwen, and Barrett Bass; sisters, Judy Austin, Lori “Coco” Evans, Retha Taylor; and brother, Dwayne Haskew.
Michele was a kind and loving wife, mother, and sister. She dedicated every part of herself to her family. She loved to laugh. Michele was a woman you could count on. She was selfless and compassionate and always there to help however she could. She will be sorely missed by all of us, but we know she is resting in the arms of our Lord and will have eternal peace.
Visitation and funeral services will be held at Liberty Baptist Church in Fairford, Alabama on May 23, 2023 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 P.M. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. She will be laid to rest next to her mother, father, and sister in the church’s cemetery across the street.
