Milah Gibson McDavid

Milah Gibson McDavid – born in Winona, MS on May 7, 1916, died September 22, 2011, at the Oakwood North Baldwin Center for Living. She is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Joel D. McDavid; her parents, Ben and Rachel Gibson; and her brother, Mark L. Gibson. She is survived by her children, Ben (Mary) McDavid, Joel (Ginney) McDavid, Karen Anne (Lewis) Beville; her 6 grandchildren, Colleen (Todd) Atkinson, Cullen (Jenny) McDavid, Carolyn (Brandon) Queen, Kelley (Paterson) Ogburn, Taylor (Lindsey) Beville, John McDavid; and her 5 great-grandchildren. Milah was a devoted, loving wife and mother. Her life reflected a giving Christian spirit, led by faith, dedicated to her family, her church and her Lord. This dedication was reflected in her role as a minister’s wife with years of service to her church and the communities to which they were appointed. Visitation will be Monday, September 26 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM followed by The Celebration of Life at 12:00 PM at Dauphin Way United Methodist Church, with the interment following in Pine Crest Cemetery.
