Mrs. Mildred Frances Deas, age 95, longtime resident of Mobile, AL, passed away on Friday, February 21, 2020 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She is preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Hollis James Deas, parents, Samuel and Clara Moore Barlow, two brothers and one sister.
Mrs. Deas was employed for 21 years at Vanity Fair where she retired. “ She loved her lingerie and Lee jeans”, which she enjoyed supplying to her family and friends. Mrs. Deas was a longtime, faithful member of First Baptist Church of Theodore. She was an avid sports fan, Alabama football, Atlanta Braves and Chicago Cubs to name a few. She enjoyed gardening, especially tending to her flowers. Her greatest love was spending time and preparing meals for her family. Her chicken’n dumplins, mac ‘n cheese, fresh peas from the garden and cornbread will be greatly missed.
Mrs. Deas is survived by her children; Richard “Rick” Deas and his wife, Gerri, Tommy “Tom” Deas and his wife, Connie and, Debbie Deas, daughter. She is also survived by one sister, Marie Alston, four grandchildren; Dana, Christin, Corrie, and Jeremy, and eight great-grandchildren; Haley, Hunter, Kylie, Luke, Saphie, Seth, Zoey and Asha Rae.
Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home-Mobile on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home chapel beginning at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Pine Crest Cemetery on Dauphin Island Pkwy.
