Mrs. Mildred Inez Mitchell – a native of Mobile, AL and a longtime resident of Bayou La Batre, AL, died Sunday, October 7, 2012 in a Grand Bay, AL health care facility. Mrs. Mitchell was a member of the First Evangelical Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Patrick Eugene Mitchell; her parents, Willie E. and Ella Goleman Peyregne; and one sister, Ruth Jackson. She is survived by six children, Marcia (John Wesley) Stork, Steven Mitchell, Tanya (Lester) Myer, Tracy Andrew Mitchell, Lisa Mae (James Gerald) Darby, and Rita Glover; one brother, Hilton Lee (Myrtle) Peyregne; two sisters, Willie Mae McGallagher and Dorothy June (Herman) Brandt; eighteen grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 from the First Evangelical Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 10 A.M. until 2 P.M. on Wednesday at the church. Interment will be in Oddfellows Cemetery, Bayou La Batre, AL.
