A beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, Mimi spent her time traveling, relaxing at Dauphin Island and most of all, celebrating every holiday with her grandchildren. Mimi was a member of the 4.5 USTA National Championship Team in 1991. In addition to tennis, she enjoyed pickle ball, lunching with close friends, cheering for Auburn, watching her daytime “stories” and dancing to the music. Mimi is survived by her husband, Donald A. “Bud” Urquhart Jr., her children, Donald A. “Don” Urquhart III (Brady) and Katherine U. “Kasey” Stubbs (Jay) and her grandchildren, John W. Stubbs III, Donald A. “Bud” Urquhart IV, Jackson U. Stubbs, Katherine J. Stubbs and Jacqueline A. Stubbs. The family is especially thankful to Mimi‘s compassionate caregivers: Ruth Scoggin, Ginny Kotowske, Brenda Hurd, Courtney Nix, Elysabeth Holland and many other friends in the community.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, November 7, at Spring Hill Graveyard.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Wilmer Hall, The Joseph Project at Ashland Place United Methodist Church or your charity of choice.
