Miriam Brettel Davis

Miriam Brettel Davis passed away peacefully at her home on March 20, 2012. She was born on August 2, 1923 in Mobile, Alabama and graduated with honors from Murphy High School in 1940. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Jesse Lynwood Davis, Sr. and her parents, Lillian & Frank Brettel. Miriam will forever be remembered and loved by her children Jay (Venecia) and daughter, Lynnea (C.C.) Raphael. She will be greatly missed by granddaughters Amber Davis and Miranda Davis (Carson) and great grandson, Rhett Davis, along with countless other friends and family whom were blessed to know her. Miriam touched the lives of many people with her smile, generosity and quiet perfection in all that she did. Friends and family are invited to attend a graveside service on Saturday, March 24th at 10 am in Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Miriam requested that you not send flowers but instead make memorial donations in her name to her beloved St. Lukes Episcopal Church in Mobile where she worshiped for the past 38 years.
