Mitch was born on July 19, 1962, in Smyrna, TN, to the late Kenneth and Carolyn (Fussell) Murrell. He graduated from Biloxi High School and later attended the University of South Alabama. Mitch had a lifelong passion for cars and motorcycles and spent many years collecting, repairing, and riding them. He cherished his many lifelong friendships with those he met along the way. Those who knew Mitch remember him as sweet and soft-spoken, with a laugh that could light up a room and a smile that left a lasting impression. His great sense of humor brought comfort and joy to those around him.
Mitch was preceded in death by his much-loved parents, mother, Carolyn, and father, Ken. Mitch is survived by his beloved wife, Stacey. He leaves behind his brother, Mike Murrell, and his partner, Linda Klingerman, and three step-children that he was intensely proud of: Jacob Tyrrell Dellinger, Mark Alan Dellinger, and Emily Anne Dellinger. He will be missed dearly by his granddaughter Zora Francis Leek and countless other friends and family.
A memorial mass honoring and celebrating Mitch’s life will be held at a later date.
