Born in Sulligent, AL. and a lifelong resident of Mobile, Murray G. Hill, Jr. passed away on July 31, 2013.
He was the owner of Murray Hill Insurance Agency for over 50 years and was a long-time member of the Alabama Independent Insurance Agents. He was elected and served as General Administrator of Mobile County for many years and worked extensively with Mobile County Probate Court. He was active in the community, participating in a number of civic organizations including the Alabama Lung Association and the Mobile Optimist Club. He was a member of the Howard Lodge No. 899, F&A.M., where he attained the honor of becoming of 32nd degree mason and a member of the Abba Temple Shrine.
He was married for 53 years to Frances Annette Hill who preceded him in death in December 2011. He is survived by his daughter Murra Frances Hill of Dallas, TX. along with many nieces and nephews and other family members.
Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home Saturday, August 3, 2013 from 12:00 until 2:00 with services to follow
