Myrtle Jackson Dees – an 89 year-old native and resident of Mobile passed away Thursday, January 26, 2012. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hardy Dees, and son, Edgar Dees. Mrs. Dees is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Dees; grandchildren, Edgard Dees, Jr. (Melissa), Tonya Garron, Leland Dees, and Darrell Dees; four great-grandchildren, other relatives, and friends. The family would like to offer a special thanks to Mrs. Dees’ close friends, Gene Freeny, Carolyn Morphew, Pauline Wilemon, and Helen Tomlin. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street on Tuesday, January 31, 2012, at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12 noon until the service hour.
