Nathan “Buck” Molton Mabrey, Jr. 95, was born June 29, 1925, in Mobile, Alabama to the late Nathan Molton Mabrey Sr. and Ollie Arie Stringfellow Mabrey. Buck served his grateful nation by joining the U.S. NAVY during WWII. He fought D-Day and drove an L.S.T. to the beach with tanks to make drops with instructions not to pick up survivors. Buck enjoyed his church family and listening to Bro. David Shirley bring the word of Christ. He spent over fifty dedicated years of employment to Mobile Paint Company. In his spare time, Buck loved to hunt and fish with his son, grandson and friends; Rex and Marvin. He was a devoted great grandfather to Ty and Julia and always looked forward to spending time with them.

Buck was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife; Jean Mabrey and one sister; Ollie Mae Mabrey Reynolds.

Left to cherish Buck’s memories will be one sister; Valrie Crabtree, three sons: Randy Mabrey and wife Lee, Richard Mabrey, George Mabrey, one grandson; Gary Mabrey and wife Sherri Lee, one great grandson; Ty Mabrey, one great granddaughter; Julia Mabrey, along with extended family members and many wonderful friends.

Honoring Buck as pallbearers will be Gary Mabrey, Randy Mabrey, Brad Williams, Rex Hall, Br. David Shirley, Tony Holloway, and Taylor Holloway.

The family would like to express their kindest gratitude to Hospice staff members: Nikki, Matt Brown and Jessica. We would like to extend a special thank you to his sister; Valrie Crabtree and niece Sandra for the care they have provided. Our deepest appreciation towards Marty for all the timeless hours you’ve spent seeing after Buck. We’d like to thank Chaplain Bob Barr for his time extended to our Dad. Bro.
