The world lost a little bit of its light on Wednesday, May 8, 2024. Nathan Daniel Rounsaville, age 50, went to be with his Lord and Savior, leaving a large hole in our hearts, but a strong faith that he is at peace. Nathan was born to David Paul Rounsaville and Delores Griffin Seignious (formerly Rounsaville) on September 2, 1973 in Mobile, Alabama. Even in all his charm, he was mysterious, private, and believed in traditional values. After acquiring his G.E.D., Nathan, at age 16 became a tile mechanic, which he mastered. Nathan was a rebel at heart, and never knew fear. In his younger years, he was a fantastic water-skier and skateboarder. Nathan enjoyed building model cars and drag-racing, both past-time favorites with him and his Father. To say he was a music enthusiast would be the understatement of the century – Nathan thrived on music. He had a very eclectic ear, and accumulated hundreds of albums over the years.
Just like everyone, Nathan had his fair share of struggles throughout the years. But his penchant for learning, and his love of reading aided in his greatest accomplishment in life: his walk in Christ. Nathan read and lived in the Word every day. He had a passion for the Lord, and was a born-again Christian. Jesus was his anchor, and Nathan knew that he didn’t have to be perfect because Jesus is. He loved sharing his knowledge and spreading the gospel. Nathan’s favorite book of the bible was Job – a man whose faith was tested at every turn but could not be broken – and that sums up the light that was Nathan. A man whose faith was constantly tested, but he never succumbed to disbelief.
Nathan was preceded in death by his Father, David Paul Rounsaville; step-mother, Sue Rounsaville; and Devoted step-father, John Daniel Seignious.
Nathan was survived by his daughter, Amelia Lynn Miller (Chris); granddaughter, Zelda James Miller, and a newborn grandson, Bodie Paul Miller; loving Mother, Delores Griffin Seignious; sister, Teressa Pauline Davis (Gary); niece, Marissa Gabrielle Davis; step-brother, Steve Isbell and John Isbell; step-sister, Beth Isbell; niece, Meghan Isbell; nephews, Fisher Isbell, and Miller Isbell; and many great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.
Visitation for Nathan will be held on Friday, May 17, 2024 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Pine Crest Funeral Home on Dauphin Island Parkway in Mobile, with a chapel service immediately following. Entombment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery, in the Chapel of the Pines Mausoleum.
