

Norma Manley Powell, 80, passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2022 in Mobile, Alabama. Norma was born to James and Betty Manley in Meridian, Mississippi on March 17, 1942. She received her Master of Science Degree from the University of Alabama. Norma was an avid gardener when she was younger, enjoyed going to yard sales, and reselling antiques, jewelry, and collectibles. She loved her dogs, and loved watching game shows. Norma was a kind, funny, caring, sweet, extremely intelligent, loving, and beautiful woman. She raised three children, and practically raised her grandson, Bryan. Norma also took great pride in taking care of her parents in their advanced age. She was greatly loved, and will be truly missed.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents and her good friend, Frances Seaman Williams.
She is survived by her children, James “Jimmy” David Powell, William Powell III, and Marty Henken; grandchildren, William “Bryan” Powell, IV, James C. Powell, Lori Powell, Matt Powell, Scott Powell, and Michelle Henken; and great-grandchildren, Makayla Beam, Claudia Morgan, and Benny Powell.
A graveside service for Norma will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at 11 a.m. in Pine Crest Cemetery on Dauphin Island Parkway in Mobile.
