Mr. Norman Earl Morris, Jr., age 85, passed away on Friday, February 26, 2016. He is preceded in death by his parents, Norman Earl and Lucy Wilkins Morris, Sr. and wife of 25 years Mary Salter Morris. Mr. Morris served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a Murphy High School graduate and attended Auburn University. Mr. Morris retired from Gayfer’s Department Store after 35 years of service. He is survived by his children, Cynthia Morris, Tripp Morris and Malinda Chatel (Rob). He is also survived by his three grandchildren, Alexandria Morris, Nick and Luke Chatel. Graveside services will be held at Pine Crest Cemetery on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Forest Hill United Methodist Church, Mobile, AL.
