Ouida Sue Lusk Carnes Coker, age 88, a native of Gadsden, Alabama went to be with Jesus on Monday, October 27, 2025. She was surrounded by family and friends in her home. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Elmer Lewis Carnes; parents, Charles and Edna Lusk; brother, Carlos Aaron Lusk; daughter, Deborah Lynn Carnes; husband, Sim Cullen Coker; and grandson, John W. Cruit, Jr.
She is survived by her daughters, Karen Rogers (Terry) and Cathy Brown (Doug); son, Steve Coker (Janet); six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and many loving relatives and friends.
Visitation for Ouida will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2025, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Pine Crest Funeral Home on Dauphin Island Parkway in Mobile. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 31, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Pine Crest, with Rev. Jerry Carnes officiating and Bro. Art Burroughs as a guest speaker. Interment will follow in Pine Crest Cemetery.
