Owen Charles Belcher

Owen Charles Belcher – a 75 year-old native of Flint, MI and longtime resident of Mobile passed away Monday, November 4, 2013. After graduating from Sparta High School in Flint, MI, Mr. Belcher joined the United States Navy serving as an x-ray technician. He then worked for Trailways as a bus driver for 21 years driving 2 million miles without an accident. Mr. Belcher was also the co-owner of Saraland Pet Grooming for the past 21 years. He is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Carol Montez “Tez” Belcher; children, Derrick Owen Belcher, and Victoria “Torri” Necaise (Tim); step-grandchildren, Logan and Nancee Necaise; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held from Cody Road Seventh Day Adventist Church on Saturday, November 9, 2013, at 4:00 p.m. The family will receive friend from 3:15 p.m. until the service hour. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations may be made in Owen’s name to the Animal Rescue Foundation (A.R.F.), 6140 Rangeline Rd., Theodore, AL 36582 or to your favorite charity.
