Oh God, You have been our Refuge through all generations, before the mountains were begotten, and the earth and the world were brought forth from everlasting to everlasting. You are God.
Patricia McCabe Davis was born in Batavia, NY, next to the beautiful Genesis Falls and Niagara Falls, on a Thursday night on March 17, 1932. Because it was St. Patrick’s Day, she was named Patricia. Patricia had a full and happy life, enjoying going to Church and loving her Catholic faith.
She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Michael McCabe Sr., and mother, Catherine Heyer McCabe; three sisters, Catherine Rita McCabe, Dorothy McCabe Murphy, Catherine Mary McCabe Cortopassi; and eight brothers, Paul Patrick McCabe, John O’Neil McCabe, Edward Joseph McCabe, Gregory Frances McCabe, Arthur George McCabe, James John McCabe, Thomas Edward McCabe, and Joseph Michael McCabe, Jr.
She is survived by many nieces and nephews.
She worked at AmSouth Bank, formerly First National Bank, for over 30 years in the Trust Department, and she retired in 1993.
Some of the happiest moments in her life were rescuing an abandoned animal and bringing it home to be loved and cared for. Her two “babies” were Poncho and Dixie, and they were next to her until her last breath.
She was lovingly cared for full time at her home by her Great Niece, Sandra Elizabeth DeFilippo Ritchie, fulfilling Patricia’s strong wish to remain in her home all her days. Patricia also enjoyed the company of her neighbors, Jim and Patty Doyle.
