Patsy Collins Hester

Patsy Collins Hester – a 69 year-old native of Meridian, MS and longtime resident of Mobile, beloved wife and mother, and follower of Christ, went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 10, 2013. Mrs. Hester was an avid tennis player and a member of Mars Hill Church. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Patricia Hester; parents, Vardeman and Retha Kitchens Collins; and sister, Ruth Reynolds. She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Jackie W. Hester; children, Tony Hester (Sherry), Jamie Hester McWilliams (Ken), Michael Hester (Susan), and Dr. Jackson Hester (Brandi); sisters, Mary Ethel Vrocher, Polly Williams (Arlie), and Retha Campbell (Sam); brothers, Rev. Charles Collins (Cyndi), and Monroe Collins; nine grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held from Christ Anglican Church on Tuesday, May 14, 2013, at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends at the church from 1 p.m. until the service hour. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 205 Lambert Ave., Ste.
